In its most recent version upgrade, the Meta-owned messaging service is adding three important capabilities to iOS that we have previously seen in action on its Android counterpart. WhatsApp just added the option to message unsaved numbers. For more information about them, keep reading.
New WhatsApp for iOS Features
The ability to easily move chat to another iPhone has been added to WhatsApp for iOS as part of the most recent version 23.14.79 upgrade. When you want to switch to a new iPhone, this feature will make it simple for you to toggle the “Transfer Chats to iPhone” option from the Chat Settings menu.
Please be aware that this version does not support the transfer of chats between platforms. If we choose the Android method, the chat will be transferred using a QR code that is generated on the new device and scanned from your old device. Check out this article for further information on how to easily transfer WhatsApp chats.
To automatically block suspected spam calls, you now have a new dedicated Mute Unknown Callers option under the Privacy menu. This recently released feature is currently being widely made available to iOS users. Visit this page if you want to learn how to do it.
Then there is a feature for video calls. Video calls can now be made on WhatsApp when in landscape orientation. This will help you see more persons on your screen at once and be useful for business calls.
All users should soon be able to access these new WhatsApp features, which have already begun to roll out to iOS users. To check for the update and download it so you can start using these features, go to the App Store. Don’t forget to tell us about your experiences in the section below.
