The OnePlus Watch 2 got a lot of things well for OnePlus’s debut Wear OS smartwatch. It addressed one of the main problems with Wear OS by introducing a large battery and a hybrid design. We now have the release date for the OnePlus Watch 3, the next edition, which is scheduled to happen soon.
OnePlus has confirmed (via X) that the OnePlus Watch 3 is launching on February 18 at 8:00 AM EST. The brand says the watch will be exclusive to the US, Canada, and Europe.
The OnePlus Watch 3, like the Watch 2, will be sold primarily on the basis of its battery life. With a 631 mAh battery, OnePlus claims 5 days of battery life in Smart Mode. As a result, the Watch 3 could be the most durable Wear OS smartwatch ever created.
Watch 3 could have a titanium bezel, Sapphire Crystal glass, and a new rotating crown. The watch will come in two colors: Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium. It will feature the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and the BES2800.
The smartwatch could arrive with Wear OS 5 out of the box.

We may expect the Watch 3 to include additional health capabilities such as ECG, wrist temperature, and a 60-second health exam, which were discovered last month in the OnePlus OHealth app. This could be a good improvement over the OnePlus Watch 2, which had an excellent battery but lacked several health tracking features.
The health features on the Watch 3 should place it on level with the Pixel Watch 3 (review) and Galaxy Watch 7. Aside from that, we hope OnePlus increases the number of years of upgrades for the Watch 3. The Watch 2 received barely two years of updates and has yet to acquire Wear OS 5.
