As promised, HMD just held an event to introduce the HMD Crest and Crest Max smartphones in India. The phones have a 6.67-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED display, which the manufacturer claims is glass that is comparable to Corning Gorilla glass.
The Unisoc T760 5G 6nm SoC, which the manufacturer says offers over 5.1 Lakhs AnTuTu SoC, powers the phones. Both the Crest and the Crest Pro include 6GB and 8GB of RAM, respectively, with an additional 6GB and 8GB of RAM available for use. The phones come with two years of security updates from the firm and run Android 14 without any bloatware.
The phones feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging with the charger in the box
These come with Repairability 1.0, simplifying replacement of Back Panel, Battery, Display or Charging Port. This feature extends device lifespan and reduces e-waste, says the company.
