In Starfield, gaining XP can be a difficult undertaking. Well, leveling up rapidly is not required, and the game encourages you to take your time while exploring new worlds and performing quests. Yet it’s no secret that unless you’re completing questlines, leveling up in the game gets monotonous. Unexpectedly, a YouTuber discovered a brilliant way to farm XP in Starfield that makes the process simpler and increases level growth to about 20 per hour. Let’s investigate its operation.
YouTuber Finds a Way to Farm XP in Starfield
The game has a robust base-builder, where you build a settlement on a discovered planet in the solar system. It works similarly to Fallout 4, with some improvements. The base builder is also used to make money if you want a steady flow of income. And someone figured out a way to use this system to farm XP points in Starfield.
YouTuber Maka91Productions showcased the process in his recent video. He claims that his XP farm can help someone reach a “high XP level” within hours.
He does make it obvious that lower-level players shouldn’t attempt it because creating this XP farm and the “Outpost Engineering” skill requires a lot of science skill points. You must first unlock skills from lower tiers in order to access this particular skill. You must study Power Generation and Resource Extractors in a research lab once you get them. To build the farm, you will also need a ship that can carry between 2,000 and 3,000 tons of cargo. The following resources are needed after that:
- 18 Adaptive Frames
- 124 Aluminum
- 24 Beryllium
- 30 Copper
- 2 Fiber
- 99 Iron
- 24 Tungsten
When he gathers the necessary materials, Maka91 establishes his base on Andraphon, a moon of Somati. Land where aluminum and iron are close together on the planet’s surface. Build a maximum of six aluminum and iron extractors, ten solar arrays to power them, and three storage containers for each extractor after everything is prepared. The first storage box must be connected to the first of the six extractors, followed by the second and third storage boxes.
Create an industrial bench and bed once the aforementioned is finished. The basic premise of this design is that time moves six times more quickly on this planet than it does on other planets. As a result, the production of iron and aluminum is higher and faster each day. The bench can then be used to build adaptable frames. As this item needs iron and aluminum, this is the source of XP. Also, you earn more XP as you make more. 20,000 XP will be awarded to you for each hour spent. Although it may be tedious, investing 5 hours in Starfield seems like a decent trade-off if you want to level up much more quickly.
